non, ils ne sont pas à vendre... c'est l'explication pour les faire !!
I have upgraded the poor Corrado headlights with Audi A4 HID headlights taken from a 2002 model. It took a lot fo work to get it to fit but the result is very satisfying.
What was done?
The whole Audi housing was broken apart and only the 3 inner lights were used
I had to make a completely new housing for the lights out of ABS plastic and a new lens out of clear plastic. I used a plastic called Lucite Tuff from Home Depot and was able to heat bend it to create curve similar to that of the Corrado lens. The new lens was glued into the stock Corrado lens bezel. The projector lights put out very little heat so the plastic holds up fine. If you plan to use the highbeam, this material will warp due to very high heat. You will need to use another type of plastic like lexan. The housing was made by cutting up a sheet of ABS plastic that I bought from a plastic warehouse. The sides were bend with heat to make a box
Here are Audi lights placed into the housing. There are 2 adjustment knobs on the Audi headlights which is used to adjust the aim (vertically and horizontally). I saved these 2 things when I had cut up the Audi housing. These knobs or tabs are glued to the top of the new housing and the lights pivot off these. There is also an height adjustment motor on the Audi lights that I had to keep to hold the lights in place. So the 3 things that secure the inner lights in the new housing is:
2 adjustment tabs glued to the ceiling of the housing, 1 adjustment motor at the back of the housing. This keeps everything secured.
The adjustment motors work and you can hook them up inside the cabin to adjust the height if you choose to do so.
Here is the final housing after it was trimmed to fit on the car. There is much work to make them fit. The radiator support had to be trimmed. There is a middle beam that runs vertically that intersects the lights (in the middle). That needs to be shaved enough to get the lights to go back far enough.
Wiring
I wired the low beam signal wire to the ballast unit. Use a relay. Highbeam signal to highbeam. I tapped the turn signal wire and hooked it to the turns that are inside the Audi headlights (the small lens on the outter most side). The parking lights were hooked up to the daytime running lights in the Audi unit (a small bulb under the highbeam).
